Greetings from the heart of the estate

The kitchen here at Westerby is definitely the heart of both the restaurant and the entire estate. The kitchen is brimming with flavours and spreads its delicious aroma of cooking over the estate. When you step inside the entrance to the main building, you are engulfed by the cosy atmosphere created by the mouth-watering aromas from the kitchen. The scents of freshly baked bread, smoked salmon and fresh herbs complement each other to the delight of your senses.
The estate restaurant and kitchen philosophy is based on use and refinement of local produce of the highest quality. Even produce from the estate garden, such as apples, rhubarb and berries, is used in delicious jams and preserves, pies and compotes that evoke childhood memories.
Bread and other baked goods are made with flour and flakes from Svartå mill. The fish served in our restaurant is usually caught in the waters off Ingå. The local fishermen’s fresh catch is a feast for the senses of even the most discerning diners. In the summer, you might even bump into one of the chefs heading up the hill from the vegetable patch with a hamper full of fresh herbs and potatoes.The chefs are more than happy to stop for a while and discuss the day’s menu with the guests.
